Three Generations Coffee

The Sciannimanica family can be justifiably proud of its journey in coffee. It moved to Canberra in 1963 from Sydney bringing with it a wealth of expertise, established its first business in the area, and introduced quality espresso where there had been none before.

 

Three generations have carried on in the family businesses, culminating in the well known local brand name of CosmoreX Coffee.

At its Fyshwick premises, coffee class attendants and special guests will find one of the worlds most renowned coffee roasting machines with which the family

roasts fresh for the local market, and it imports its own brand of Italian espresso machines. Family member Attilio is on the panel of Coffee Judges to the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. He has also been a volunteer for a well known Australian aid organisation, and in 2001 was placed in a developing country to oversee the set up and commencement of a fledgling coffee roasting business.

There is a wealth of experience to be found running in the three generations of coffee at CosmoreX.

 

 

 

Attilio Sciannimanica, is the Principal of CosmoreX Coffee Pty Limited, a specialty roaster situated in Canberra.

He has been roasting coffee and designing blends for the last 23 years, in addition to importing, selling and servicing commercial and domestic espresso coffee machines direct from their Italian manufacturers. The Company currently imports, amongst other things, the Diadema JUNIOR range of semi-commercial espresso machines, Macap commercial grinders, and the Rancilio Silvia and Rocky grinder range of domestic equipment.

Quality and Service

Cosmorex Coffee is a family owned and operated business. We have been roasting only the highest quality Green beans sauced from the best growing regions around the world for ……years. Attilio Sciannimanica the Chief director of cosmorex coffee is a third generation in this family business and is still very involved. He is our chief roaster and does all the cupping and tinkering of fine details required to ensure only the freshest and highest quality roasted beans leave our door for you the consume to drink.

 

 

Roasting

 

Cosmorex Coffee prides themselves on producing fresh coffee for everyone to enjoy and consume. We roast 3-5 times a week with our Eco friendly Roaster. We have been roasting with this since July 2009 and it has aided us in achieving a specific and repeatable results. The special way it delivers the hot air into the drum eliminates hot spots helping to achieve a much more uniform roast then can be obtained from the traditional methods. Also Tipping is eliminated and flavours are enhanced.
